Questions??

What media do you like working in? : I like multiples of mediums especially gouache* and watercolor. Photoshop and illustrator are nice as well. I consider it quicker when on the computer, but I gotta say that painting in real life is more joyful. the brush strokes i feel can be sometimes controlled better, and are stronger in appearance. The reason i like watercolor is the way it flows, and making mistakes sometimes makes the work look better. A media i would like to try, but haven't would be lets see....well ive searched online and fell in love with this Turkish water art (marbling)Ebru. where you place a type of paint in the water that is thick and then place a paper over the water rub the area and then lift up and dry. I feel that would be awesome to make for a background affect. Three classes that have influenced me would be my drawing classes with fred ( i can't name which one was better, but i found the life drawing classes very helpful). I also felt photography class helped me look for things with more perspectives. One other class i've taken would have to be...landscape drawing. It helped me understand to make a focal point on not just the subject in front, but the objects in back. The peers around me have influenced me everyday. If i see something i like that they've done, I try and copy their style, not to be a plagiarist, but to strengthen my style. My subject matter somewhat sticks in the fantasy style. I never truly like to stick with the realistic world. Just like when you listen to your music through your earphones you escape from the reality of the room your in. Im not so much a pure lover of reading, but when I do, I like adventure, romance (not generic), and exciting. Music varies from anything i hear that intrigues me i like. The only thing i can't handle is country. However, i do like classical music especially ones that contain a symphony not so much jazz. i can't list how many hobbies i have, i like tennis, i like crochet, i like knitting, sewing, which somewhat is artistic...im not sure if there is anything else i like as much as another in the large group of humans in the world. if i could own work i would own...jin young shin, the mona lisa for tourists and then i would own van gogh's half moon in the night with cypress trees i cant remember the title.

Sorry that the final work is not posted

I had a major issue with my computer when I had scanned all my finals. They weren't posted on my blog yet, and then this death eating virus took over my computer, I had it checked out and asked if there was a way to restore some of my work, but he told me that most of the work was removed due to virus actually imprinting itself on all of my files. I almost lost my whole computer, but i will rescan my work and post them soon.

FANTASY!! still past artwork

we had to create a fantasy drawing. I couldn't decide which WAY to go. So i drew some ideas out and then found a path i wanted to take.

I came up with some larger drawings for the work afterward!

I choose OPEN CANVAS! which will be displayed shortly.

Work from the past

HEY!! this is hw for my illustration 3 class we started with silhouettes and then would progress to a major project.

We would create a shape from one object, and then transform them into another object. The three ideas i came up with are the elephant tea cup, the dog into a boat with a nun and Santa clause, and then a grand piano into two sea horses. They'll be posted shortly
